This pack provides a flexible set of teaching and learning resources to help you to teach soils in innovative ways. The resources and how to get the best from them are described in Getting started.

However, the pack's purpose is wider than this. It is to help you reflect on your performance, and consider possible improvements. This is described in Getting better.

There are resources in each of The priorities to help you reflect and consider possible improvements to your work. We suggest you start with Teaching theory. You may find it interesting to look at case studies recorded during the testing and evaluation of the resources which show some of the experiences of the teachers, trainers and learners as they incorporated the resources into their programmes and evaluated their impact on theory teaching. Consider the links they were able to make between theory and the learners' practical work, and how effectively they were able to manage their programmes.
